Movie nights are big at our house! We love that we can take a night to chill as a family, get in our jammies, snuggle up on the couch with a cozy blanket and enjoy some fun entertainment and yummy snacks. Since the Minions movie was released on 12/8 our most recent movie night included watching Stuart, Kevin and Bob and snacking on a minions version of our all-time favorite movie snack…popcorn.
I picked up the Minions Deluxe Metalpak Blu-ray/DVD which is a Target exclusive. I love the look of the fun metal case! When you buy your DVD at Target you get 40 minutes of Target Exclusive content that you won’t get anywhere else.
I found the Minions © 2015 Universal Studios. All Rights Reserved movie displays up front by the checkout lanes and a big display back in the movie department. You should have no problem finding the Minions movie at your Target store, those cute little yellow guys are everywhere! If you prefer you can order the Minions movie online and pick it up at your local Target store.
When we plan a movie night I love that I can make one-stop at Target for all our movie night needs. I can get a movie, snacks and drinks all at one location. I picked up the following supplies to make a minions Popcorn Snack Mix for our family movie night.
Minions Popcorn Snack Mix
- Market Pantry Popcorn (use air popper or pop on stove) pop enough for 8 cups of popcorn.
- 3/4 cup of Market Pantry White Baking Morsels
- 2 drop of yellow food coloring
- 1/2 cup blue candy coated chocolates
- 1/4 cup of candy eyes
Divide popped popcorn equally between two bowls (one large, one medium) and set aside.
Add white baking chips into a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30 second intervals until chips are melted and smooth. Add in the yellow food coloring.
Drizzle the white chocolate over the popcorn in the large bowl. Add candy coated chocolates and candy eyes and mix well.
Finish by adding in the rest of the popcorn to complete your Minion Popcorn Snack Mix.
Movie night at our house isn’t complete without drinks so while I was at Target picking up the Illumination Entertainment Minions movie I also picked up the following items to make a Pineapple Minions Refresher.
Pineapple Minions Refresher
- 4 cups Market Pantry Pineapple Tiblets (Fruit in a Cup)
- 1 cup Simply Balanced Coconut Water
- 2 cups of ice
- 2 drops of yellow food coloring
Add all ingredients in blender and blend. Pour in glasses and enjoy!
To add a little minions theme to our movie night I cut out a pair of minions goggles and an eye using cardstock and attached them to the drink glasses. My kids loved the extra touch, it made our Minions movie night a little more fun.
If you too want to make some fun minion popcorn mix and drinks for a fun Minions movie night you can pick up the following supplies at Target. I’m showing you right where you can find all them at your Target store.
