This post is part of a social shopper marketing campaign with participating title but all my opinions are my own.
I got to check out the Mad Genius Tips cookbook from Justin Chapple and the editors of Food & Wine and I have to say I love this cookbook and it’s clever tips and tricks! It is presented in a totally different way than other cookbooks and I think it’s mad genius. The recipes I have tried have been great too. You can pick up the clever Mad Genius Tips cookbook in-store at Target or online at Target.com
This book is filled with tips on how to use everyday items in your kitchen to make prepping and making food so much easier. You’ll be scratching your head thinking “Why didn’t I think of that?” Here are just a few of the fun tips you can do with items you probably already have in your kitchen:
- Chop Boiled Eggs
- Cut Corn of the Cob
- Make an Ice Ring for Punch
- Make Tea Bags
- Lift Fragile Cookies (I could have used this last week)
- DIY Your Brown Sugar
- Grate Ginger (no special tool needed)
- Make Overnight Oats
- Swirl Frosting
My son loves the pre-packaged ramen, but I’m not in love with the fact that they contain so many preservatives and sodium. This book has a recipe for Miso Chicken Noodle Cups which essentially is a healthy version of a cup of noodles. You make and serve them in canning jars. Eating out of a canning jar is way more fun than eating out of a styrofoam cup!
Assembly of this recipe was quick and easy. Super tasty too! These are perfect to take to work, just add hot water and they are ready in 5 minutes.
In addition to the Miso Chicken Noodle Cups here are some recipes I am looking forward to making:
- Waffled Denver Omelet
- Chopped Egg and Baby Potato Salad
- Chipotle Butter Turkey
- Tomato Soup with Cheesy Croutons
- Gingerbread Whoopie Pies
- Pumpkin Muffins with Crumb Topping
