I enjoy living here in the great Northwest where we have tons of water around us. We are very fortunate to live 5 minutes from the Des Moines Marina that my family loves to visit on a regular basis so we can appreciate the beautiful scenery and play in the water.

We love to take advantage of the sunny weather when every it appears, so we decided to spend an afternoon at the Marina for a family picnic and some water fun.

My youngest loves to head down to the dock to check out all the boats and put his feet in the water.   To make sure he stays safe we require that he is wears a flotation device specifically made for children.

The best safety protection we have found for our son is the Stearns Puddle Jumpers®.   The Puddle Jumper is amazing because it is uniquely designed to ensure that kids have increased mobility while swimming, as well as ensuring their full safety. Plus, every kid will find one they love since the Puddle Jumper comes in a variety of bright fun colors with many different animal designs.

With my son wearing the Puddle Jumper I can rest easy while he sits on the edge of the dock and splashes his feet in the water.    This is one of his favorite things to do!

Our friendly neighbor came by in his canoe and asked if my son wanted a ride.  Knowing that my son is wearing a Coast Guard approved device provides me with peace of mind.

We finished off the fun afternoon combing the beach for cool rocks and cooling off by dipping our feet in the water.

I highly recommend the Stearns Puddle Jumper for children that are between 30-50 lbs.  It is amazing how well they can move around and play in the water with it’s unique design.   I love the Puddle Jumper so much I have even gifted it twice.

You can purchase the Stearns Puddle Jumper directly from StearnsFlotation.com.  You can also find them at many major retailers like Target, Costco and more.
