Get Approved for a REDcard & get a $50 off $100 Coupon

1/18/21

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

If you don’t currently have the Target REDcard, now is the time to sign up!  When you apply and are approved for a Target REDcard you’ll get a coupon for $50 off a future purchase of $100.  You can choose the REDcard as either a credit or debit card.  I have been a REDcard holder for years and my favorite perks are the 5% off on all your purchases and free shipping at Target.com.  You will need to apply by February 20th in order to qualify for the $40 off a $40 purchase coupon. The coupon will be mailed to approved cardholders with their REDcard and is valid through 3/27/21.

Here are all the perks of the Target REDcard (debit or credit):

  • 5% off your entire purchase at Target & Target.com
  • FREE Shipping on any size order at Target.com (this is great for when you see clearance items or only need one item)
  • 30 extra days for returns
  • 10% off coupon as a gift on your REDcard anniversary each year
  • Early access to special events, products & promotions and exclusive extras

Excludes alcohol, Apple products, select baby products (Baby Born, DockATot, Elvie, HALO, Infant Optics, Peg Perego, Philips Avent), Bose, Casper, clinic & pharmacy, dairy milk, DSLR cameras & lenses, Elf on the Shelf, Fitbit, gift cards, Google, Harry’s and Flamingo, HP, JBL, Levi’s Red Label, LG OLED TV, limited-time designer partnerships, mobile contracts, Motrin pain relief, Nintendo hardware and Switch games, Polder, power shave, power dental, prepaid cards, PS4 hardware, Samsung TVs, simplehuman, Sonos, Target Optical, select toys (Barbie Dreamhouse, Disney Frozen Castle, Fisher-Price Bounce and Spin Puppy, Frozen Castle and Smart Home, Hot Wheels Colossal Crash, Hot Wheels id, Imaginext Batmobile, LEGO, L.O.L., Mega Bloks, Nerf Ultra, Pictionary Air, Thomas and Friends Wood), Traeger, Tylenol pain relief, Vera Bradley bedding, Weber, and Xbox One hardware. Offer excludes items sold & shipped by Target Plus™ Partners.

Curious…. How do you get the 10% off coupon on your red card anniversary date? I’ve had the red card for years and don’t recall ever getting this. I must be missing out. Maybe I need to call customer service.

It’s sent to your email and has a fairly quick expiration date. Got mine last December and literally only had days to use it before the expiration.

Go to your red card account online, and sign up for “Target Marketing Emails.” Then you’ll get the anniversary emails.

I was wondering if the expiration would be extended due to COVID-19??

We list all of the exclusions that are stated on the coupon at the bottom of this post. If the item you are looking for isn’t excluded you should be fine.

I received my card today, but my coupon says that I can take $40 off of a purchase of $100 or more, not $40 off of a $40 or more purchase. I applied on July 23, so why is my coupon deal not for the $40 off $40 promotion?

I have tried to use my coupon on bedding, still not working. I’ve tried toys, bedding, and anything else not “excluded” it will not work!

I read here that the $40 off discount coupon comes with the Target red card. I received my red card, but no idea on the discount coupon.
Where can I find that, and what if I have lost it? Can target reissue the discount coupon?

You will need to contact Target directly regarding the coupon. The $40 coupon was only offered if you applied during certain dates, but Target should totally be able to help you with that.

I just received my coupon after opening my red card. Actually I received two. neither one of them work. I don’t have any of the excluded items in my cart. It doesn’t have to be on one item alone does it? I even chatted with Target online and they couldn’t figure it out.
