It’s hard to believe school will be starting soon. Each summer seems to go by quicker than the last. I enjoy the carefree days of summer, but I also look forward to getting back to a routine once school starts again. One thing we like to do at our house to ensure our school mornings run smoothly is to prep school lunches ahead of time.

Smucker’s® Uncrustables® Sandwiches are one way to make lunch prep super easy. These handheld peanut butter and jelly sandwiches make packing lunches a breeze. They are a busy mom’s best friend. I like the fact that Uncrustables are non-GMO and they have no high fructose corn syrup. There is an Uncrustables sandwich flavor to please everyone in your family.

Uncrustables even come in whole wheat and reduced-sugar options. Uncrustables even come in whole wheat and reduced-sugar options. While Uncrustables make school mornings a breeze, we like to prep everything for their lunchbox on Sunday night. Prepping lunch ahead of time helps to ensure our mornings run smooth and easy.

We put fruits in individual serving size bags. I use a pair of scissors to snip the grapes into smaller sized clusters. This goes super quick, in no time at all we have individual servings of grapes that are ready to grab and go.

We do the same thing to prep vegetables.    My kids find celery a little boring, but they love dipping it in peanut butter so we pick up convenient packs of those, too.

Once all the fruit and veggies are prepped,  we stack them all into a clear fridge container.

We have a container for each of the different food and drink items that will get packed into their lunch. There is one for drinks, one for fruits and veggies and one for different varieties of cheese. Our kids grab a juice box or bottled water, cheese and 2 items from the fruits and veggies bin.

Next, they grab their favorite flavor or Smucker’s Uncrustables from the freezer. The Uncrustables only take 30-60 minutes to defrost, so they will be ready to eat by lunch time.

Because of all the prep work, lunches get packed super quick! This routine really helps our school mornings run smoothly. A little prep time one day and you are set for the whole week. I recommend giving it a try!

Lunch time was always one of the highlights of my school day as a kid. I have fond memories of my Mom writing notes on my napkin when she packed my lunch. I like to to the same for my kids once in awhile too. I made these fun printable lunch notes to include in my kids lunches. I’ve made the set of lunchbox printables free for everyone, so you can print them too.

The fun lunch notes and yummy Uncrustables are sure to put a smile on your kid’s face.

They even have an Uncrustables with a Chocolate flavored Hazelnut Spread.  Yum!

You can pick up Uncrustables at Target, and through 8/29 you can save 5% with the Target Cartwheel offer. You will find Uncrustables in 4 packs or the convenient 15 pack in the freezer aisle.  Now is a great time to stock-up before school starts. I’d love to hear what you do at your house to make sure your school mornings run smoothly.
