We all know printers get a lot of use during the school year, but did you know there are tons of things to keep you printing all summer long? If you are in need of a printer I recommend the Brother compact laser printer, available now in Target stores for the first time. I love using the Brother printer for several reasons:
- It prints fast. The Brother HL-L2340DW can print up to 27 pages per minute.
- The printer is compact and doesn’t take up a lot of room on my desk.
- The wireless feature is one of my favorite features, printing is a breeze!
- I can print on both sides with auto-duplex printing.
- It has a large 250-sheet capacity paper tray, so I change paper less often.
Setting up the printer was straight-forward and took no time at all. You will love the wireless feature! I don’t know why I waited so long to update to a wireless printer, it makes printing so easy. I love that I don’t have to get up and connect my laptop to the printer every time I need to print something. I am really late to the wireless printing game, and if you are too, I recommend giving this Brother laser printer a try.
Here are some of the things that keep us printing all summer long:
When the weather is either too hot or even too rainy (we do live in Seattle), I keep kids entertained inside the house by printing coloring pages, Sudoku puzzles, word searches and more.
When we travel my kids like to play Travel Bingo on the long car rides. I made these printable bingo sheets and we slip them into a page protector and clip them onto a clipboard. This way they can be used again and again. A laminator would work too if you have one, but the page protector and clipboard are an inexpensive and easy alternative.
Do you have a road trip planned? I’ve made these Travel Bingo sheets accessible to everyone. Just print the four different versions of the Bingo sheets and you can keep your kids entertained on the way to your vacation destination too.
Reading is one of the activities we like to make sure our kids continue over the summer. We are challenging them to set a goal to read a certain number of books. Once they complete a book, we have them fill out this Summer Reading Log. When they’ve met their goal we do something fun like go out for ice cream. I’ve made the Summer Reading Log a free printable also so your kids can participate too.
In addition to using the Brother printer to keep the kids entertained during the summer, I too get lots of use out of the printer. We love to grill during the summer months and I like to keep all my summertime grilling recipes in a binder for easy access. I simply print out the recipes and add them to my binder. I now have all my favorite recipes in one place. I’m kind of a messy cook so I like the fact that I can keep them clean by slipping them in plastic page protectors in the binder.
And of course, one of my favorite uses for the Brother printer is to print coupons to help me save when I shop at Target.
Using a wireless connection you can even print from your mobile device with the Brother iPrint&Scan app. If you are in need of a printer (or even just want a new one), I highly recommend stopping by Target this week for a $20 temporary price cut on the Brother HL-L2340DW Compact, Wireless Monochrome Laser Printer!
